Thank you to everyone who rolled, walked, or ran!

The weather was perfect. Sunny, only a few white clouds, a slight breeze so you didn’t get too hot, just beautiful! We were lucky enough to have the 5th Annual Brain Injury Awareness Walk on this day in Evans, GA.

We gathered to walk, run, or roll to raise awareness for those survivors of traumatic brain injuries. Lunch was shared, brand new event t-shirts worn, prizes given out, and everyone had a wonderful time!

Thank you to NeuroRestorative, Brain Injury Awareness Group, Lions Club, and Green Harvest for sponsoring this event with us and to Patty Goolsby, Director at NeuroRestorative for putting this entire event together with the help of her committee.

In our region, over 2,600 people suffer from a brain injury every year, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health! Because of you, this event raised a record amount of money for Camp Hardgrove, an annual camp for adult brain injury survivors. Please continue supporting our efforts so programs and services may be offered to anyone affected by a physical disability.

“We thank our wonderful survivors, their families, our physicians and therapists and the many others who believe in helping to raise awareness about this often hidden disability.”

–Brain Injury Walk co-chair Patty Goolsby, program director at NeuroRestorative Georgia.

Also, thank YOU to all of those who ran, walked, or rolled or who donated time or money to make this event a success! Your support made this fund raiser possible and we thank you for your contribution to raising awareness for traumatic brain injury survivors.
