Border Bash Foundation Awards Walton Foundation’s Camp TBI

Border Bash gift 2015The Border Bash Foundation has awarded a grant to support Walton Foundation for Independence’s Camp To Be Independent, our week-long summer camp for children and young adults ages 8 to 21 with an acquired traumatic brain injury.

During the grant recipient announcement on January 13, WFI Vice President Vicki Greene accepted a check from (l to r) Joe Stevenson, Hamp Vining, Tommy Rogers and Joel Simmons, Border Bash Foundation.

Border Bash was created to celebrate the football rivalry between border state schools – the University of Georgia and the University of South Carolina. Over the years, The Border Bash Foundation has contributed over $800,000 to worthwhile causes across the area.

Applications for Camp TBI are open now and may be accessed online. This year’s camp is July 26 to 31.
