Walton’s four garden apartment communities for seniors offer an affordable, independent living option for older adults living in the CSRA, thanks to our partnership with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Our one-bedroom apartments are ground level and handicapped accessible and feature energy efficient construction, an individual private entrance, washer/dryer connections and lighted parking areas. Other amenities include:

  • Wide doorways
  • Door handles (rather than knobs on all interior and exterior doors)
  • Visual doorbells and smoke detectors for the hearing impaired

Our senior independent living communities are available for seniors 62 and older in the CSRA. Rent is based on 30 percent of renters’ income and all household members must meet HUD guidelines. Income cannot exceed $20,650/year for a one-person household or $23,6000/year for a two-person household.

Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Prequalified candidates will be placed on a waiting list according to HUD guidelines.
